He later attended law school and then re-joined the military as a reservist in the Army Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG). Nick continues to serve, currently assigned as a Brigade Judge Advocate. His service includes tours in Germany, South Korea, Israel, Turkey, Hungary and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

In his civilian career, Nick established himself as an accomplished trial attorney while working as a homicide prosecutor with the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office. Since moving to the private sector, he practices part-time representing individuals who have been hurt, including workers' compensation, criminal law, and legal services for Veterans such as V.A. Disability, TSGLI, and Discharge Upgrades.

Nick earned his J.D. from Temple University's Beasley School of Law and his B.A. in Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh.
