The Honorable Patrick J. Murphy is a Vetrepreneaur, America’s first Iraq War Veteran elected to the US Congress and the 32nd Under Secretary of the Army (2015-2017), where he led the US Army's 1.3 million personnel and managed a $148 billion budget. 



The US Army is a Fortune 2-sized organization where Secretary Murphy secured transformational public-private partnerships, hit recruitment goals of hiring more than 120K Gen Z Americans onto ‘America’s Varsity Team’ and currently lectures at the Wharton Business School & the US Army War College. 

Patrick is an enterprise-level leader who has invested more than $100 million in the next generation of business & public service leaders through his venture capital company and organizations, and serves on many for-profit and non-profit boards, which includes/included the United States Military Academy at West Point, BAE Systems & Oracle Government Services. Passionate about making a positive difference for his brother & sister veterans, he’s the Chairman of the $50+ million ‘Face the Fight’ initiative to combat veteran suicide which has taken 120K veterans’ lives since 9/11 and serves as an Ambassador for the US Chamber of Commerce Hiring Our Heroes. 

After earning a Bronze Star for his combat deployments as an ‘All American’ with the 82nd Airborne Division, Secretary Murphy is a published author, television host & producer and has continued his lifelong commitment to forge a stronger America by building teams that make a difference. He hosts the Yahoo Finance podcast ‘Warrior Money’ and the proud father of Maggie (18) and Jack (15).
